NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ FREWSBURG — A 26-year-old man has been changed after an assault on Sunday. Troopers out of Jamestown said Devin Haskins, 26, of Frewsburg, was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. While the victim was at a friend’s residence in Frewsburg, Haskins entered the residence and struck the victim in the face, causing visible facial injuries. Troopers said the incident occurred in the presence of a juvenile. Haskins was placed under arrest and transported to Jamestown for processing. After processing, Haskins was issued appearance tickets and released, to appear in the town of Carroll Court later in the month.

¯ KENNEDY — On Sept. 30, Troopers out of Jamestown charged Robert Ludwig, 35, of Kennedy, with DWI – Leandra’s Law. Ludwig was pulled over for speeding on I-86 and after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests, Ludwig was placed under arrest. Ludwig was transported to Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of 0.16. Ludwig is to be in the town of Poland Court on a later date. The infant that was inside Ludwig’s vehicle at the time of the arrest remained in the care of the sober passenger.

¯ Troopers out of Jamestown charged Randall Schuler, 63, of Jamestown, with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Jamestown Police had pulled over a vehicle on Second Street for driving with a flat tire Sept. 24. Troopers arrived on scene to assist and placed Schuler under arrest after he allegedly failed several field sobriety tests. Schuler was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of 0.27. Schuler is to be in the city of Jamestown Court at a later date.

¯ FALCONER — A Kennedy resident is facing numerous charges after an incident with a child in September. Troopers out of Jamestown charged Joel Lanphere, 49, with third-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. Troopers responded to Falconer Central School on Sept. 22 for a report of a runaway juvenile that arrived at school. An investigation revealed that a few days prior, the victim was confronted by Lanphere about possessing a cell phone, and then allegedly struck several times by Lanphere, resulting in chronic headaches in the following days. Lanphere also destroyed a Dell Chrome Book issued to the victim by the school. Lanphere was placed under arrest at his residence and transported to Jamestown barracks and later to the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ KENNEDY — On Sept. 19, Troopers out of Jamestown charged Jacob Jones, 22, of Kennedy, with third-degree assault. A day earlier, troopers responded to UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, for a report of a past-tense assault. An investigation revealed that two days prior, Jones arrived at the victim’s residence in Kennedy to confront him about an unrelated incident. Both subjects began arguing and then fighting, during which time Jones body slammed the victim on the ground, resulting in several broken bones. Jones turned himself in to troopers in Jamestown, was later released and will be in Poland town court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ DUNKIRK — At around 9:25 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 5 for an alleged traffic violation on Oct. 7. Through investigation it was found that 27-year-old Devan Donelson of Kennedy, was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Donelson was charged with DWI, DWI per se and no or inadequate headlights. Donelson was transported to a Sheriff’s Office Substation where he was processed, then later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Dunkirk Court at a later date.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ PERRYSBURG — Peter W.J. Bondzich, 25, of Perrysburg, was arrested on a warrant from the town of Perrysburg. Bondzich was arraigned and released, and will be back in Perrysburg Town Court later.

¯ RANDOLPH — Brandon E. Bush, 40, of 141 Church St., Randolph, was charged with third-degree assault Monday. According to deputies, after further investigation, it was found that Bush allegedly struck a man in the face causing injury. Bush was arraigned and released, and will be in court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Alivia M. Salverson, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, and two counts of second-degree harrasment at about 3:15 p.m. Monday. According to police, officers responded to the south side for a report of harrasment. Upon arrival, officers learned that Salverson had left the scene. Upon further investigation, officers learned Salverson allegedly threatened two persons. One of the persons had a stay away order of protection against Salverson. Officers located Salverson and she was taken into custody, and taken to the Jamestown City Jail. Salverson will be in city court later.
