COUNTY SHERIFF

— SILVER CREEK — A village man is being charged after an altercation just before sunrise Saturday.

At around 7 a.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded to an address in the village. After an investigation it was found that Neil D Burrs, 43, allegedly physically harassed another person and intentionally damaged property. Burrs was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Burrs was transported for the centralized arraignment program in Mayville, and will answer to his charges town of Hanover court later.

— HANOVER — A trespassing complaint last week has led to a pair of Irving residents being charged

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report around 5:17 p.m. Tuesday they responded to an address. Through a further investigation it was discovered that Brett C. Plucinski, 32, and John J. Plucinski, 63, allegedly took the property of another, without that person’s permission.

The Plucinskis were later charged with petit larceny and trespass. John Plucinski was additionally charged with second-degree harassment after he allegedly threatened to do harm to another person. Both will be in town court at a later date.

— CARROLL — A Greenhurst man who was creating a scene near Conewango Creek on Saturday afternoon is facing charges.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report that at 3:16 p.m., they were waved down by bystanders who were kayaking. Upon arrival deputies were advised there was an individual, later identified as Steven W Walsh, 49, who was screaming and causing a disturbance by the creek.

Deputies made contact with Walsh who was uncooperative and threw what appeared to be water on a deputy. While Walsh was being taken into custody, he began actively resisting arrest.

Walsh was then taken into custody and transported to UPMC Chautauqua for unrelated medical treatment. He was charged with second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He is expected in town court later.

— SILVER CREEK — At 11:07 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a complaint on Division Street. The Deputy on scene discovered that 31-year-old Marcus J Hughes was actively breaking a Court Order of Protection. Hughes was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and transported to The Hanover substation. Marcus was later transported to county jail for arraignment.

— HANOVER — At around 9:12 p.m. Saturday, deputies with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police responded to an address in the town for an apparent altercation. Through further investigation it was discovered that Robert M. Kroll 29 of Silver Creek allegedly damaged property of another with a child present. Kroll was charged with three counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

Kroll was then transported to county jail for centralized arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

— RANDOLPH — A traffic violation on School Street has led to drug-related charges against a Falconer man.

State Police in Jamestown reported Friday night they charged Blaydon Niles, 31, of Falconer, with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and possession of controlled substances by ultimate users original container.

While attempting to produce identification for the trooper Wednesday, two Hydrocodone pills fell from Niles’ wallet. Further investigation revealed that Niles did not have a prescription for the Hydrocodone and that he was also in possession of methamphetamine. In addition, his non-driver ID card had been revoked.

Niles was placed under arrest and issued appearance and traffic tickets. He will be in the town of Randolph Court next month.

— On Saturday, troopers out of Jamestown charged Matthew Foster, 32, of Ashville, with driving while intoxicated.

Foster was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Route 60 in Jamestown and after failing several field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest. Foster was transported to Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of 0.10. Foster was then released and is to be in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date.
