JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Jordan B. Dandridge, 20, no address listed, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and third- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Dandridge was observed at 4:11 a.m. Friday inside 7-Eleven on East Second Street. Dandridge was on the department’s Top 10 warrant list. Dandridge was reportedly found with a handgun and a quantity of fentanyl/cocaine. An investigation found that the handgun was stolen out of Union Township in Pennsylvania. He was transported to jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Gabriel S. Colburn, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree assault. Officers responded at 1:56 a.m. Friday to a Chapman Street address for a reported fight. Upon arrival it was clear that a fight had occurred as a victim had injuries to their face. It was determined that Colburn had allegedly caused injury to the victim during a domestic dispute. Colburn was transported to jail for further proceedings.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ NAPOLI — Joseph L. Estus, 34, of Panama, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Estus was taken into custody Thursday following a high-speed pursuit that went through the towns of Napoli, Little Valley, Mansfield and New Albion. Estus was reportedly found with narcotics during an investigation. He also faces 37 vehicle and traffic violations and is scheduled to appear in Napoli, Little Valley, Mansfield and New Albion town courts at later dates for further proceedings.

¯ RANDOLPH — Dean M. Walters, 31, of Randolph, was taken into custody after deputies conducted a warrant execution at 11:30 a.m. Thursday on Ireland Road in the town of Randolph. Walters had two active violation of probation warrants out of Randolph Town Court. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

¯ A Dunkirk motorist who led Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies on a pursuit Wednesday has been charged in the incident.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigators attempted to pull over a light green Dodge Challenger for observed vehicle and traffic violations before 1 p.m. Investigators observed this vehicle on West Main Street in the village of Brocton. After activating emergency lights and sirens, the subject in the vehicle failed to comply.

A short pursuit occurred and the driver ended up North on Lake Avenue and struck guardrail at Lake Avenue and South Swede Road and continued on South Swede Road, which is a dead end. He crashed into a lawn at the end of the road. The subject exited the vehicle and ran toward a brush line. A Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Investigator observed the subject and positively identified the driver and sole occupant as Brandon L Vangiesen. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and K-9 arrived and a search was conducted for a short time. The search was discontinued due to fact deputies knew the identity of the driver. A Warrant of arrest was completed for Vangiesen, 31, of 327 Eagle St., out of Town of Portland Court.

On Friday morning, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a residence on Route 380 in Portland. Brandon L Vangiesen was a this residence and taken into custody on the warrant. He was charged with third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, failure to comply with a lawful order, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving, failing to stop at stop sign, no windshield, leaving scene of property damage accident, uninspected motor vehicle, speed not reasonable and prudent, improper passing and operating without insurance.

He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and taken centralized arraignment.
