LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

Desiray J. Corrigan, 39, of 144 Park St., Jamestown, was taken into custody at 11:48 p.m. Friday after a bench warrant was issued for failure to appear in court. She was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond.

¯ Bruce G. Ellis, 78, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at 5:01 p.m. Friday after officers responded to the city’s west side for a report of a vehicle that left the scene of an accident. The vehicle was found a short time later at the Jefferson St. Laundromat, allegedly driven by Ellis. Ellis was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol at the time. He was charged and released with an appearance ticket to be in Jamestown City Court later.

¯ DAYTON — Daniel L. Gabel, 79, of Dayton was charged on an arrest warrant issued by Dayton Town Court after a traffic stop by New York State Troopers on Route 62 in Dayton. Gabel was arraigned in Ellicottville Town COurt and released to be in court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY COURT

Chautauqua County DA Jason Schmidt has announced the following sentences in Chautauqua County Court:

¯ Richard Sendall, 37, of Brocton, was recently sentenced by Judge David W. Foley to a determinate state prison term of six years with three years post release supervision after having pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both class B felonies. The plea occurred earlier this year in May. The two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance are from two separate incidents, one in Jamestown and one in Ellery.

¯ Aaron Davis, 53, of Jamestown, was recently sentenced by Judge David W. Foley to a determinate state prison term of five years with five years post release supervision after having pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm, a class C felony. The conviction occurred earlier this year in March. The defendant was sentenced as a violent felony offender after having two felony convictions within 10 years.

¯ Glen Hurrell, 32, of Dunkirk was sentenced by Foley to a determinate state prison term of five years with five years post release supervision after having plead guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Hurrell was caught by police illegally possessing a loaded handgun without a pistol permit. The plea occurred in April 2022. Hurrell was sentenced as a predicate felon due to having two felony convictions within 10 years.
