Child Injured After

Gathering In Dunkirk

A child suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle during a large fight on King Street more than one week ago.

Dunkirk Police reported Saturday that they responded to the incident at 1:03 a.m. June 4. While officers were attempting to disperse the crowd, they located the injured youth. Dunkirk Fire responded to the scene and transported the child to Brooks Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

After an investigation, Thalia M. Pagan, 24, of Dunkirk, was identified as the operator of the vehicle. She was determined to be intoxicated and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.

Additional charges are possible for the participants of the altercation pending consultation with the District Attorney’s Office.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

— FREWSBURG — Troopers out of Jamestown charged Brian Jones, 37, of Frewsburg, with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment.

Troopers responded to a residence in Frewsburg for a report of a domestic dispute Saturday. An investigation revealed that Jones had physically pushed the victim throughout the residence, and that the victim was a protected party in an order of protection against Jones. Jones was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.

— SILVER CREEK — Troopers charged Brandy Doucet, 34, of Dunkirk, with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Doucet was pulled over Saturday for a traffic infraction observed at Central Avenue and Howard Street in Silver Creek during which time Doucet exhibited multiple signs of drug impairment. Doucet was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. Doucet was released and will be in the town of Hanover Court later.

— FREDONIA — Troopers charged Christopher Tilley, 53, of Jamestown, with driving while ability impaired by drugs Friday.

Tilley was pulled over on Route 60 in Fredonia for traffic violations during which time he displayed multiple signs of drug impairment. Tilley was placed under arrest after failing several field sobriety tests, transported to Fredonia barracks and evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert who determined that Tilley was impaired. Tilley was issued tickets and will be in the town of Pomfret Court next month.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

— SHERMAN — An accident with serious injuries was reported Saturday morning on Stedman Road.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies say they responded to a motor vehicle accident at 1:33 a.m. Upon arrival it was discovered two vehicles were involved and the passenger of the second vehicle was transported to UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa., for serious injuries.

Accident reconstruction was requested to investigate the scene. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

— POMFRET — Deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 60 in Fredonia for an observed traffic offense around midnight Friday. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 36-year-old Robin Jauch of Buffalo.

A subsequent investigation led to her arrest for driving while intoxicated. Jauch was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Office substation in the town of Pomfret. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and speed in zone. Jauch is scheduled to be in the town of Pomfret Court at a later date.
