JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Paul D. Gilbert, 57, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers assigned to a domestic violence compliance detail conducted a home check visit at 8 a.m. on Friday at a residence on the south side of the city. A man found inside had an order of protection to stay away from a woman in the residence. Gilbert was transported to jail without incident and held for arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ FREWSBURG — David Robinson, 34, of Buffalo, was charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Robinson allegedly took a vehicle Thursday in Frewsburg without the owner’s permission. The vehicle was located by Fredonia police. Robinson is scheduled to appear in Carroll Town Court later.
¯ ELLICOTT — Wayne B. Wright III, 28, of Sinclairville, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, moving from lane unsafely, unlicensed operator, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and no/insufficient tail lamps. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 10:53 p.m. on Thursday on Route 60 in the town of Ellicott. Wright was allegedly found to be in possession of a weapon and operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
