NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ FREDONIA — Megan Waterman, 40, of Forestville and Brittany Jones, 36, of Dunkirk, were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Waterman was stopped Thursday on Newton Street in Fredonia for using a cell phone while driving. Waterman was allegedly found in possession of two bags and a container of methamphetamine while Jones was allegedly found with a bag of methamphetamine and two smoking devices containing methamphetamine residue. Both are scheduled to appear in Fredonia Village Court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Ramsey J. Huddleston, 42, no address listed, was charged with third-degree assault. Officers were called Saturday to the emergency room at UPMC Chautauqua for a reported assault that took place in Falconer earlier. The victim was being treated for a laceration in the mouth area that required stitches. Huddleston was picked up on a warrant and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ Jeremy A. Bishop, 31, no address listed, was charged with third-degree assault. Officers were called at 5:45 p.m. Saturday to North Work Street for a reported fight. Bishop was allegedly found to have struck another person in the head with a glass mug. Bishop is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ Luis A. Ruiz Jr., no age or address listed, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers were called Thursday to West Ellicott for a reported domestic incident. Ruiz was taken into custody on a warrant from a previous incident. Ruiz was also found to be violating a stay away order of protection. Ruiz is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

DEPARTMENT

¯ John M. Dearing, 45, of West Seneca, was charged with petit larceny and third-degree burglary. Dearing allegedly concealed $52.92 in clothing in a bag and left Walmart at 12:47 p.m. on Thursday. Dearing had previously been banned from all Walmart properties. He was processed and released with appearance tickets.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Nicholas A. Taylor, 37, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree criminal trespass and aggravated family offense. Officers responded at 9:32 p.m. on Sunday to the east side of the city for an order of protection violation. An investigation found that Taylor allegedly entered another person’s apartment without permission and violated the order. Taylor was found nearby and taken into custody. He was held for arraignment.

¯ William R. Finch, 45, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault and fugitive from justice. Officers were called at 10:15 p.m. on Sunday to the north side of the city for a reported domestic dispute. A victim was found to have sustained a laceration to the face. Finch, who also reportedly caused damage to property inside the residence and had a warrant in Pennsylvania, was transported to jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Andrew R. Peterson, 33, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, no headlights and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Peterson was stopped around midnight on Thursday on South Main Street and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol while operating a vehicle. Peterson was later released with tickets to appear in court.

¯ Brandon K. Guillory, 41, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree burglary and larceny. Kimberly S. Brandow, 45, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass. Officers responded at 6:20 p.m. on Friday to a reported burglary on the south side of the city. A door was found damaged and forced open. Guillory and Brandow were found inside the residence. Guillory allegedly took mail from the residence. The pair was transported to jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Dakota M. Proestler, 22, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Officers responded at 6:48 p.m. on Saturday to a reported domestic dispute. It was found that Proestler allegedly damaged property and struck another person in the head during an altercation. Proestler was located shortly after the incident and held for arraignment in court.
