Three Charged After Warrant Check

DUNKIRK — Three Dunkirk men were charged after allegedly being found in possession of numerous drugs, a weapon, cash and a lock box belonging to another individual.

Around 6 a.m. Friday, numerous officers from a number of different county law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at 527 Columbus Ave. without incident. Upon completion of the warrant the following items were located and seized: 14.72 grams of crack cocaine, 1.2 grams of fentanyl, more than $1,000 in cash, a .22 caliber Hawes Firearm revolver and ammunition. A stolen lock box also was recovered and returned to its owner with various personal documents and bonds inside after Dunkirk Detectives were able to locate him.

Kevin Y. Dejesus-Rivera, 30, of 604 Main St., Luis Torres, 36, of 15 E. Talcott St., and Edward Omar Pagan-Martinez, 38, of 124 Lincoln St., were all charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. All three subjects were taken and arraigned by Dunkirk City Court and later released.

Agencies assisting in the effort included members of the Dunkirk Police Department Special Response Team, Dunkirk police road patrol, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, which is made up of members of the Sheriff’s Office and Dunkirk Police Department, Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force including K-9, and members the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Division.

Authorities continue to ask members of the community to call and report suspicious or narcotics related activity within their neighborhoods. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

¯ RIPLEY — At 11 a.m. Friday, deputies conducted a warrant check at a residence on Goodrich Street in Ripley. Andrew C. Sanders, 35, of Ripley, was located at the residence. Sanders had a warrant for his arrest for criminal obstruction of breathing/blood circulation and second-degree harassment. Sanders was taken into custody without incident, and was transported to county jail for arraignment.
