JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Courtney M. Thomas, 23, no address listed, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and moving from lane unsafely. Officers responded at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday for a crash on Buffalo Street in which a vehicle struck a telephone pole. An investigation found that Thomas was allegedly operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. Thomas is scheduled to appear in court later.
¯ William Jackson Jr., 34, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree burglary and petit larceny. Officers responded at 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday to a reported burglary on the north end of the city. Jackson was allegedly located at the residence in the commission of stealing property out of an enclosed porch. Jackson was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ SHERMAN — Ryan C. Myers, 26, of Sherman, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and failure to stop at a stop sign. Deputies responded at 1:44 a.m. on March 12 to a report of a vehicle in the ditch along Route 430 in the town of Sherman. The driver was located a short distance from the vehicle, and an investigation determined he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Myers is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court later.
¯ KIANTONE — Joshua C. Burger, 36, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated family offense and second-degree criminal contempt. Deputies checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at a closed business at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday on Route 60 in the town of Kiantone. It was learned there was a stay away order of protection directing Burger to stay away from another person in the vehicle. Burger was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
