Several loaded weapons were found during the search of a Jamestown apartment Monday afternoon, and two city residents are facing numerous charges.

The Jamestown Police Department announced the arrests of James D. Eastham and Amber L. Eaton following the execution of a search warrant around 3:30 p.m. at their 15 Winsor St. residence. Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force were involved, with the assistance of the city’s SWAT team.

Inside the upper apartment, police recovered the following: a quantity of fentanyl, packaging materials, scales, money, brass knuckles, ammunition, a loaded shotgun, a loaded .22 caliber rifle, a loaded .380 pistol, and a loaded .22 caliber derringer handgun.

Eastham and Eaton were transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts each of second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

According to JPD, the shotgun that was recovered during the search was believed to be the same shotgun that Eastham used earlier in the week to menace an individual outside of his apartment. Eastham was further booked on a warrant for his arrest of second-degree menacing.

“The Jamestown Police Department has been targeting individuals who are using violence and intimidation against others within the city of Jamestow,” the department said in a news release. “Through targeted patrols, narcotics investigations, and working with our partners in law enforcement, the Jamestown Police Department has seized eight handguns, one shotgun and one rifle within the last 10 days. We plan to continue this effort to ensure the safety of our citizens.”
