JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ John J. Yoder, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment. Officers responded at 8:30 a.m. Monday to the 100 block of Westcott Street for a reported domestic incident. An investigation found that Yoder allegedly threatened another person with physical contact in violation of an order of protection. Yoder was transported without incident and held for arraignment.

¯ April M. Oakes, 30, of Falconer, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment. Officers responded at 5 p.m. Monday to an east side residence for an order of protection violation. Oakes was sitting on the front steps of the residence with an order of protection for her to stay away. Another person said Oakes also attempted to punch her. Oakes was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ ARKWRIGHT — Twain J. Buchanan-Scott, 31, of Angola, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator, moving from lane unsafely and failure to keep right. Deputies and Forestville firefighters were called Aug. 16 to Creek Road in Arkwright for a reported crash. The vehicle traveled off the road and down into a ravine. Buchanan-Scott was located at a nearby residence. An investigation found that Buchanan-Scott was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and that his driving privileges had been suspended. He is scheduled to appear in Arkwright Town Court later.
