Warren County Man Jailed After High-Speed Chase

WARREN, Pa. — A Sugar Grove, Pa., man is in Warren County Jail after a reported high-speed chase over the weekend.

Devin W. M. Powell, 30, reportedly struck a police officer who was on foot with his vehicle during the alleged incident Saturday and was reportedly going over 100 miles per hour at times during the chase.

Powell is charged with aggravated assault; aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI; fleeing or attempting to elude officer; simple assault; recklessly endangering another person; DUI – controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; accident involving damage to attended vehicle; and numerous summary traffic violations.

Among the summary charges are two counts of exceeding 55 miles per hour by 50 miles per hour.

The officer was treated for injuries at Warren General Hospital and released.

The chase took place in Glade Township, according to court documents.

Powell was arraigned before District Judge Raymond Zydonik and taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $250,000 bail.
