JAMESTOWN POLICE

¯ Tyree L. Holland, 24, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at midnight Monday at 309 N. Main St. Officers responded to a report of four people fighting and tried to speak with a man who then ran away. The man, later reportedly identified as Holland, was caught a short distance away and allegedly had a bag with 4.9 ounces of cocaine. Holland was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.

¯ Todd Evchich, 61, of Jamestown was charged with obstructing governmental administration at 2:06 a.m. Sunday at 207 Foote Ave. after police responded to a report of an unwanted man at UPMC Chautauqua. Evchich was refusing to leave the hospital, then was escorted out by officers before he attempted to go back inside the hospital and was charged. Evchich was charged with trespass and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.

¯ Matthew L. Brown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 2:07 a.m. Sunday after officers responded to a Cross Street home for a report of an unwanted person. Brown allegedly was involved in a fight with another man in the presence of a 6-month-old child. Brown was taken to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ RANDOLPH — Tyler P. Conway, 25, of Mayville was arrested after two arrest warrants were issued by Randolph Town Court for third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny. Conway was arrested at a Main Street, Randolph, house. He was arraigned and bail set at $100,000. Conway was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
