CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S

DEPARTMENT

¯ CHARLOTTE — Sheriff’s deputies handled a harassment complaint that occurred on Route 60 in the town of Charlotte on Aug. 25. Further investigation found that William K. Scott, 73, of Sinclairville, did shove another individual. Scott was issued an appearance ticket and will answer his charge in town of Charlotte Court on a later date.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Deputies were dispatched to an address in the village for a reported harassment complaint. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with multiple subjects and through investigation it was determined that the suspect involved had violated an active stay away order of protection. The alleged suspect was located a short time after and identified as 69-year-old Lawrence Mosandel of Silver Creek. Mosandel was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree criminal contempt. He was later transported to the Chautauqua County Jail where he was held to await centralized arraignment.

NEW YORK

STATE POLICE

BEMUS POINT — New York State Troopers charged Ian Mortimer, 32, of Big Flats, with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Mortimer was pulled over on Interstate 86 in Bemus Point for a traffic violation and after failing several field sobriety tests, Mortimer was transported to the Fredonia barracks where he was evaluated by a city of Dunkirk Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of cannabis. A blood sample was secured from Mortimer at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Mortimer was then transported to Jamestown, processed, and issued tickets. Mortimer is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellery Court next month.

CATTARAUGUS

COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ Jena Croakman, 29, of Jamestown was arrested on an unrelated incident with the city of Jamestown Police Department. Croakman was taken into custody on Sept. 15 by deputies and taken to the sheriff’s office for processing. She was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and arraigned in town of New Albion Court where she was released on her own recognizance. She is required to appear in Little Valley Town Court at a later date.

¯ SALAMANCA — A Salamanca resident has been charged following a search of her residence. According to deputies, on Sept. 17, a search warrant was executed at 28 1/2 Clinton St. by the Southern Tier Drug Task Force. Darylyn Horsefall was arrested on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child. She is to answer to the charges in City of Salamanca Court.

¯ RANDOLPH — A Mayville man is facing charges after being arrested on outstanding warrants. According to deputies, Tyler P. Conway, 25, was taken into custody on arrest warrants out of of the town of Randolph. Charges for the arrest warrants were two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree attempted burglary, and third-degree grand larceny. Conway was processed and arraigned where he was sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
