LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Mary Jane Vanevery, 62, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Vanevery allegedly took $326.56 in merchandise from Walmart on Friday. Vanevery is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Kjmari Farmer Torres, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Zhane Foster, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with disorderly conduct. Officers observed a fight at 12:59 a.m. Sunday on North Main Street between two women. Farmer Torres reportedly refused to comply with demands and pulled away while officers attempted to place her hands behind her back. She was transported to Jamestown City Jail. Foster was released with an appearance ticket.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ Madeleine Bowen, 27, of Salamanca was turned over to deputies Sept. 18 after being taken into custody by West Seneca Police. Bowen had several warrants for charged of second-degree assault, criminal trespass and unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine issued by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. She was transported to the county jail and is due back in court at a later date.

¯ Cheyenne Armstrong, 40, of Salamanca, was arrested on three valid warrants out of Cattaraugus County Court. Deputies did not specify the warrants. She was taken to the county jail, where she was held for court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HANOVER — At 11:11 p.m. Sunday, deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Routes 5 and 20 for an observed infraction. The operator was identified as 28-year-old Casey Crane of Dunkirk.

A subsequent investigation into the stop led to his arrest for criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing hypodermics, aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without insurance, open container, and inadequate headlights.

Crane was issued appearance tickets on scene and released. He will answer to the Town of Hanover Court.
