City Man To Serve Year In County Jail

A Jamestown man found with methamphetamine inside his jail cell will spend a year in Chautauqua County Jail after pleading guilty to first-degree attempted promoting prison contraband and petit larceny.

Bracken Warren, 22, was sentenced Monday by County Court Judge David Foley. The Jamestown man was already in the Mayville jail in June 2019 when corrections officers found meth inside his cell during a check.

In January, Warren was indicted on charges of third-degree burglary and petit larceny, as well as first-degree possession of prison contraband. As of Monday, he remained in the jail on $30,000 cash bail.
