WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Kody Cambria, 22, of Portland, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded at 2:56 p.m. Monday to Jefferson Street where it was alleged that Cambria broke a window with a screwdriver. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Westfield Village Court later.

¯ Nestor A. Rodriguez-Rivera, 35, of Dunkirk, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, failure to dim headlamps and failure to stop at a stop sign. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 1:24 a.m. May 5 in the town of Sheridan for an alleged traffic violation. An investigation found that Rodriguez-Rivera was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Sheridan Town Court later.

¯ BEMUS POINT — Jason C. Bang Jr., 32, of Bemus Point, was charged with three counts of second-degree criminal contempt. Deputies on Wednesday observed an order of protection violation in Bemus Point. An investigation found that Bang violated a stay away order. He is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ SINCLAIRVILLE — Shaina E. Love, 30, of Sinclairville, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and first-degree criminal contempt. Troopers responded at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to a 911 complaint of a domestic dispute in progress at the residence located in the village of Sinclairville. An investigation found that during the verbal altercation with her husband, Love had thrown an object at the front kitchen window, causing it to shatter. Further investigation revealed an active “refrain from” order of protection was in place and that Love’s husband was the protected party. Love was transported for arraignment to Chautauqua County Jail and later released.

¯ RANDOLPH — Timothy Slater, 56, of Allegany, was charged with two counts of menacing a police officer, second-degree burglary, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal trespass. Troopers responded Monday to a property in Randolph for a report of a suspicious person. Immediately upon troopers’ arrival, Slater allegedly charged the troopers with a kitchen knife. Slater obeyed commands to drop the knife and was taken into custody without further incident. While searching Slater, troopers located approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket. During an investigation, troopers were advised by a Randolph resident that he was awakened a few hours prior to Slater inside his kitchen with a knife. The resident was able to convince Slater to leave his residence peacefully. Slater was processed and later remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail.

¯ Robert E. Calkins Jr, 35 of Salamanca, was charged with four counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child. Calkins was taken into custody Tuesday after the Bureau of Criminal Investigation received information in April 2020, that Calkins allegedly possessing child pornography. On May 5, Calkins was indicted on a Superior Court Warrant. He was transported to police barracks where he was processed. Calkins was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail where he is expected to be arraigned later this week.
