NEW YORK STATE POLICE

≤KENNEDY — Troopers out of Jamestown charged Robert Blakey, 23, of Jamestown, with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Blakey was pulled over on Route 394 on Saturday for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, Blakey was placed under arrest. Blakey provided a blood sample at UPMC Hospital in Jamestown and was then transported to Jamestown for processing. Blakey was issued tickets and is to be in the town of Poland Court next month.

≤KENNEDY — Troopers out of SP Jamestown charged Blaydon Niles, 29, of Falconer, with driving while ability impaired by drugs. The Troopers responded to Hartson Road on Wednesday for a report of a Ford F-250 truck stuck in the ditch. Upon arrival, the Troopers observed Niles attempting to remove his truck from the ditch with his four-wheeler. Niles exhibited multiple signs of drug impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest. Niles was transported to Jamestown where he provided a urine sample but refused to be evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert. Niles was then processed, issued tickets and released. Niles is to be in the town of Poland Court next month.

≤RANDOLPH — Troopers out of Jamestown charged Daniel Visker, 35, of Conewango Valley, with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Visker was pulled over on Route 394 on Thursday for traffic violations and after failing several field sobriety tests, Visker was placed under arrest. Visker was transported to Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant and a narcotic. Visker was transported to UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown and provided a blood sample. Visker was then transported back to Jamestown where he was processed, issued tickets and released. Visker is to be in the town of Randolph Court on a later date.

≤GERRY — Troopers out of SP Jamestown charged Christopher Wilcox, 40, of Cassadaga, with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Wilcox was pulled over on Route 60 on Thursday for a traffic violation and after failing several field sobriety tests, Wilcox was placed under arrest. Wilcox was transported to Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of narcotics. After securing a urine sample from Wilcox, he was processed, issued tickets and released. Wilcox is to be in the town of Gerry Court next month.

≤WESTFIELD — Troopers charged Sean Carlson, 37, of Sherman, with driving while intoxicated Wednesday. Carlson was pulled over on Route 20 for a traffic violation and after failing several field sobriety tests, Carlson was placed under arrest. Carlson was transported to Fredonia where he provided a breath sample of 0.09. Carlson was then processed, issued tickets and released. Carson is to be in Westfield Court next month.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

≤CASSADAGA — Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Dale Drive in the village after a traffic violation on Saturday before 6 p.m. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Karen M. Payne, 60, of Cassadaga. An investigation into the incident found Payne to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Payne was taken into custody and subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater. She is scheduled to be in the town of Stockton court at a later date.
