JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ David C. Hanley, 43, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and obstructing governmental administration. Officers responded at 2 a.m. Thursday to the area of Hampton Inn on North Main Street for a report of a person possibly breaking glass in the wooded area. Officers located a broken window on a nearby residence as well as an unsecured door. Hanley was located inside and taken into custody without incident.

Serious Injuries Lead To

Assault Charge In Frewsburg

A call to a residence in Frewsburg for an injured individual late Wednesday led to charges for a county woman.

Around 11:23 p.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to assist the Kennedy Fire Department. Upon arrival and after an investigation it was found that Sharon J. Torrey, 40, of West Main Street, had struck another person with a sharp object causing serious physical injury. This incident occurred while a child was present in the home.

The individual was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment of injuries. Torrey was transported to the Chautauqua Count Jail for centralized arraignment on the charges of second-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
