CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ POMFRET — Kimberly A. Ryczko, 30, of Dunkirk, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree identity theft. Ryczko was charged following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division. Ryczko allegedly took a debit card and a credit card from house where was working and used them to charge items for herself without the owners permission. She used these cards throughout Chautauqua County in different jurisdictions amounting in over $500. She was picked up on a separate warrant for another case and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. She was arraigned on both the warrant and these charges and released.

WESTFIELD POLICE

¯ WESTFIELD — Officers responded to a complaint on Route 20 in the town for an individual lighting off large fireworks into the air. When police arrived at 10:17 p.m. Sunday, they located Jerry Bentham igniting the devices in front of police.

Bentham was charged with unlawful dealing with fireworks and disorderly conduct. He was released without bail and will be in town court at a later date.
