NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ On Sunday, troopers out of Jamestown charged Brian Wilson, 40, of Warren, with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Wilson was pulled over for committing traffic violations on Route 60 in Jamestown and after failing several field sobriety tests, Wilson was placed under arrest. Wilson was transported to Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant. Wilson was then processed, issued tickets and released. Wilson is scheduled to appear in the town of Kiantone Court on a later date.

¯ STOW — On Monday, troopers charged Andrew Graham, 25, of Sherman, with driving while intoxicated. Graham was pulled over on I-86 in Stow for traffic violations and after failing field sobriety tests, Graham was placed under arrest. Graham was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of 0.08. Graham was then processed, issued tickets and released. Graham is scheduled to appear in the town of North Harmony Court next month.

¯ On Saturday, Troopers out of Jamestown charged Tyler Boozel, 22, of Erie, Pa., with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Boozel was pulled over for speeding on Route 60 in Jamestown and after failing several field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest. Boozel was transported to Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of cannabis. A blood sample was obtained from Boozel at UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown. Boozel was then transported back to Jamestown where he was processed, issued ticket and released. Boozel is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court next month.

¯ RANDOLPH — On Saturday, troopers out of Jamestown charged Frank Felt, 48, of Salamanca, with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Felt was pulled over for speeding on Elm Creek Road in Randolph and after failing several field sobriety tests, Felt was placed under arrest. Felt was transported to Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System Stimulant. Felt provided a urine sample, was processed and released with tickets. Felt is scheduled to be in the town of Randolph Court next month.

¯ KIANTONE — On April 9, Troopers out of Jamestown charged John Swain, 61, of Russell, Pa., with driving while intoxicated.

Swain was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Route 60 in Jamestown and after failing several field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest. Swain was transported to Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of 0.14. Swain was then processed, issued tickets and released. Swain is scheduled to appear in the town of Kiantone Court later in the month.

¯ FALCONER — On April 9, Troopers out of Jamestown charged Jacob Rivera-Abbey, 21, of Jamestown, with driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Rivera-Abbey was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Tiffany Avenue in Falconer and after failing several field sobriety tests, Rivera-Abbey was placed under arrest. While being searched, the Troopers located a bag containing methamphetamine in Rivera-Abbey’s pocket. Rivera-Abbey was transported to Jamestown where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant, a Central Nervous System depressant and cannabis.

A blood sample was secured from Rivera-Abbey at UPMC Hospital in Jamestown. Rivera-Abbey was then transported back to SP Jamestown where he was processed, issued tickets and released. Rivera-Abbey is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court next month to answer the charges.

¯ CLYMER — On April 9, Troopers out of Jamestown charged Guy Vanderhoof, 39, of Pittsfield, Pa., with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Vanderhoof was pulled over on Route 474 in Clymer for a passenger seat belt violation. Vanderhoof was placed under arrest after failing several field sobriety tests, transported to Jamestown, and evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert who determined that Vanderhoof was under the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant.

Vanderhoof was transported to UPMC Hospital in Jamestown for a blood draw and then transported back to Jamestown. After processing, Vanderhoof was issued tickets and released, to appear in the town of Clymer Court next month. Vanderhoof’s passenger was issued a seatbelt ticket.

¯ On April 9, Troopers out of Jamestown charged James Swain, 50, of Jamestown, with felony driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Swain was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Route 60 in Jamestown and after failing several field sobriety tests, Swain was placed under arrest. Swain was transported to Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of 0.15. A check of Swain’s driving record revealed that he had been convicted of DWI within the preceding 10 years, and that his license had been suspended for an alcohol related offense.

Swain was then processed, issued tickets and released. Swain is scheduled to be in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date.

¯ RANDOLPH — On Sunday, Troopers out of Jamestown charged Patrick Alexander, 38, of Randolph, with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Alexander was pulled over for speeding on Main Street and after failing several field sobriety tests, Alexander was placed under arrest. Alexander was transported to Jamestown where he was processed, issued tickets and released. Alexander is scheduled to appear in the town of Randolph Court next month.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Russell Sims, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded at 3:30 p.m. Monday to a reported dispute on the south side of the city. It was learned that Sims allegedly damaged property of another person during the dispute. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Brittney R. Washington, no age or address given, was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers responded at 10:34 p.m. Monday to a domestic incident on the east side of the city. It was learned that Washington allegedly injured a male who was holding a 2-year-old child. Washington was held for arraignment.

¯ Jamar D. Holland, 36, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers were called at 3 a.m. Tuesday to East Fifth and Pine streets for a suspicious person running in the hallways. Holland allegedly attempted to lie about his name and engaged in a short foot pursuit before being taken into custody. Holland was found to have outstanding warrants through Jamestown. He was taken to jail and held for arraignment.
