NEW YORK STATE POLICE

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation was requested by the Olean Police Department to investigate an incident involving the discharge of a firearm by a member of the city of Olean Police Department relative to a pursuit and attempted traffic stop in the city. The incident concluded with the suspect vehicle crashing in War Veterans Park on East State Strett in the city at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

This is an active criminal investigation and no further information will be given at this time.

The State Police Forensic Identification Unit and Collision Reconstruction Unit has assisted in this investigation.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

ELLERY — A Bemus Point resident is facing a number of charges after an incident at a residence on Belleview Road.

At around 8:17 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded t0 a report of a disorderly person. An investigation found that Brian R Frank, 29, had damaged property inside the residence, subjected another person to unwanted physical contact, and endangered the welfare of a child.

Frank was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree harassment. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.

DUNKIRK — Sheriff’s deputies and New York State Police responded to a report of a disorderly person at Dunkin’ Donuts on Vineyard Drive around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Employees reported a male had broken the glass door of the business and left the scene. Upon investigation, Andrew Mignoli, 25, of Fredonia was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He is scheduled to be in the Town of Dunkirk court later.
