CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ SHERMAN — Joseph A. Blachowski, 61, of Salamanca, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater, unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance, uninspected motor vehicle and switched plates. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 9:56 p.m. Monday on Main Street in the town of Sherman for allegedly displaying a license plate that belonged on another vehicle. Blachowski was found to be intoxicated following an investigation. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Tiffany M. Carr, 28, no address listed, was charged with petit larceny. Officers were called at 1:08 p.m. Saturday to a reported shoplifting on West Third Street. It was learned that Carr allegedly left the store without paying for items. She was issued a ticket to appear in court later.
¯ Danny E. Mealy, 61, of Jamestown was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, speed in zone, passing a solid red light, failure to signal turn, third-degree unlawfully fleeing in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle at 7:30 p.m. Friday that was reportedly involved in a crash on Washington Street. The vehicle continued for several blocks at a high rate of speed and came to rest on Crescent Street. Mealy was booked and released with tickets to appear in Jamestown City Court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Ian J. Flinchbaugh, 32, of Lakewood was charged with stopped in zone, driving while intoxicated and refusal to take breath test. Flinchbaugh was stopped March 7 at 8:56 p.m. on East Fairmount Avenue for speeding and later taken into custody. Flinchbaugh is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.
