CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

— GERRY — A town resident has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment after an incident late Friday.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of a disorderly person inside a residence on Route 60 just before midnight. Upon arrival and investigation, it was discovered that Drake F. Ottaway, 19, had struck a juvenile subject during an altercation.

Ottaway was charged and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

— MAYVILLE — Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies on patrol stopped vehicle for an observed violation on Washington Street in the village after midnight on Sunday. The operator was identified as Todd A. Seiberg, 47.

Further investigation found that Seiberg was intoxicated while operating the vehicle. Seiberg was charged with DWI, DWI per se having .08% or higher B.A.C., and fail to signal turn. Seiberg was processed and released with citations directing him to be in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.

— POLAND — Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Stone Road in the town for a report of an unwanted subject. Investigation found that Christian T Powell, 24, of Jamestown, had unlawfully entered the residence at the address around 5 p.m. Feb. 21. Powell was also found to be violating a stay away order of protection at the time of the incident.

An arrest warrant charging Powell with second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal contempt was issued by the town of Poland Court. On Feb. 24, Powell was located by the Cheektowaga Police Department in Cheektowaga. He was turned over to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.
