CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SHERIDAN — Gabrielle Wright, 18, was taken into custody Thursday in a vehicle on Route 39 in the town of Sheridan. Wright was wanted on a charge of second-degree burglary. She was turned over to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

¯ A Jamestown man is facing charges following a vehicle pursuit Wednesday. New York state troopers spotted a vehicle believed to be involved in an accident on Falconer Street in Jamestown before leaving the scene. Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, which reportedly failed to comply. The driver, later identified as 37-year-old Manuel Fernandez, led troopers down several streets throughout the city before pulling into a residence on Hoyt Alley. Fernandez was taken into custody and transported to police barracks. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket for third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer as well as leaving the scene of a property damage accident from the Jamestown Police Department. Fernandez is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later.

¯ ARKWRIGHT — Dylan Sugden, 26, of Fredonia, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. Troopers responded Monday to Arkwright for a reported unwanted person. Troopers observed Sugden yelling and banging on the door of the residence. Further investigation revealed that the victim had a stay-away order against Sugden. Troopers found a bag of methamphetamine and a syringe containing methamphetamine residue. Sugden was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ FALCONER — Christian Powell, 24, of Falconer, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Troopers responded in January to a Falconer residence for a reported violation of a court order. An investigation found that Powell allegedly called the victim who is the protected party in a stay-away order. Powell was unable to be located and an arrest warrant from the town of Poland Court was issued. Powell was taken into custody Wednesday by troopers at the Chautauqua County Jail, where Powell was being housed for an unrelated charge. He was processed at police barracks and returned to the jail.

¯ PERRYSBURG — Brian Culver, 21, of Gerry, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded Sunday to Peck Hill Road in Perrysburg for a one-vehicle crash. Culver reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.21%. He was issued a ticket to appear in Dayton Town Court later.

¯ SHERMAN — Michael Patterson, 28, of Erie, Pa., was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded Sunday to Interstate 86 for a one-vehicle crash. An investigation found that Patterson allegedly exited the south side of the road, struck a delineator and came to rest in the median. Patterson reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.18%. He was issued a ticket to appear in Sherman Town Court later.
