LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Anthony R. Ford, 47, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Ford allegedly passed all points of service with merchandise at Walmart around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Ford was issued a ticket to appear in Busti Town Court later.

¯ Luis A. Ruiz Jr., 33, of Jamestown, was charged with trespassing. Officers were called to Walmart at 8:12 p.m. Tuesday for a trespass complaint. Officers located Ruiz, who was not allowed on Walmart property due to previous incidents. A check showed that Ruiz had an arrest warrant for third-degree burglary and petit larceny. It is alleged that on Jan. 29, Ruiz took $29.94 worth of women’s clothing without paying. Ruiz was issued a ticket to appear in court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Paige L. Patterson, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded at 2:04 a.m. Tuesday to the Hampton Inn hotel for a reported domestic incident. It was learned that Patterson came to the hotel to speak to another person in which she had a valid order of protection against. Patterson was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SHERIDAN — Paul S. Velzy, 24, of Dunkirk, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 1:26 a.m. on Jan. 31 in the town of Sheridan for an alleged traffic violation. An investigation found that Velzy was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Sheridan Town Court later.

¯ WESTFIELD — Rylee A. Eggert, 21, of Westfield, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely, refusal to take breath test, operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile phone and speed not reasonable or prudent. Deputies and firefighters responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash at 7:52 p.m. Feb. 4 on Plank Road in Westfield. An investigation found that Eggert allegedly failed to use a reasonable speed as well as was operating a mobile phone, leading the vehicle to travel off of the road. Eggert was transported to the hospital for an evaluation, and further investigation found that alcohol involvement was reportedly a contributor to the accident. Eggert is scheduled to appear in Westfield Town Court later.
