CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ PORTLAND — Tyler A. Jaynes, 31, of Cherry Creek, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Deputies checked an address on Kinney Street in the town of Portland at 6:37 p.m. Friday for a reported order of protection violation. Jaynes was found at the residence and in violation of the order. He also was found to have outstanding warrants out of the town of Portland. Jaynes was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ FRENCH CREEK – Nathan D. Henry, 27, of Corry, Pa., was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and speed in 55 mph zone. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 11:08 p.m. on Mann Road in the town of French Creek for speeding. Henry was allegedly found to be in possession of a .45 caliber handgun without a permit. He was released with tickets to appear in court later.

¯ ELLERY — Raul A. Alvarez, 40, of Bemus Point, was charged with driving while ability impaired by a combination of drugs, moving from lane unsafely and failure to keep right. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Route 430 in the town of Ellery for a lane violation. An investigation found that Alvarez was allegedly impaired by a combination of drugs. He is scheduled to appear in Ellery Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Brook A. Patterson, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers responded at 1:27 a.m. Saturday to Broadhead Avenue for a reported domestic dispute. It was determined that Patterson allegedly acted in a manner that could be injurious to the mental welfare of a child. Patterson was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Matthew L. Gunter, 26, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operation. Gunter was allegedly observed at 6:05 p.m. on Jan. 17 by Walmart Asset Protection staff removing UPC stickers off 97-cent items and putting them on more expensive items. Gunter then scanned the labels and paid $22.44 for items that should have rung up as $101.71 before leaving the store. He was located attempting to flee the store. A check found that he did not have a driver’s license and that his privileges to operate a vehicle had been suspended. Gunter is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

¯ Kaylee N. Keech, 21, of Youngsville, Pa., was charged with petit larceny and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Keech was observed Saturday not scanning all of her items in her cart at the self-checkout and under-ringing the items she did scan while she was with her two young children. The items totaled $394.14. Keech is scheduled to appear in court later.
