CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ KIANTONE — John L. Ferguson, 43, of Jamestown, was taken into custody Wednesday following a warrant check on Route 60 in the town of Kiantone. Ferguson was wanted for third-degree burglary and was turned over to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Draven G. Vanevery, 21, of Silver Creek, was charged with third-degree menacing and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies responded to a reported altercation Tuesday in the village of Silver Creek. Vanevery was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and held for centralized arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ FALCONER — Jeffrey Wion, 52, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs. Wion was stopped Tuesday on Main Street in Falconer for speeding and was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. Wion was taken to UPMC Chautauqua where a blood sample was taken and later processed at police barracks. He is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ BEMUS POINT — Dakota Wilson, 22, of Fredonia, was charged with aggravated family offense and second-degree criminal contempt. Troopers responded Tuesday to a Bemus Point residence for a possible violation of a court order. An investigation found that Wilson allegedly contacted another person via social media, violating a stay-away order. Wilson was located in Little Valley and processed at police barracks. Wilson was later transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ RED HOUSE — George H. Truax, 55, of Steamburg, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Troopers stopped Truax Tuesday on Interstate 86 in Red House, and was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine. Truax is scheduled to appear in Red House Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Karen D. Lewis, 53, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. Officers responded to Walmart on Sunday for a reported shoplifting complaint. Lewis allegedly took 139 items totaling $1,290.97 from the store without paying, making the charge a felony. Lewis is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.
