Indictments Handed Up In Chautauqua County Court

Several indictments were recently handed up by a Chautauqua County grand jury.

Irvin Ryes Pacheco, 24, of Dunkirk, was arraigned Nov. 19 in front of County Court Judge David Foley on two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. The indictment, according to a court clerk, was returned Oct. 7 with a conference scheduled Dec. 21.

Pacheco was taken into custody in November by a Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputy and Fredonia Police officers without incident. His arrest was the result of an investigation by detectives and investigators from the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and a pair of criminal sale of a controlled substance charges.

An indictment was handed up Nov. 5 for Matthew Cassatt on charges of first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment. He was arraigned Nov. 19 in front of Judge Stephen Cass, and a conference is scheduled for Dec. 14.

Shawn Hallmark, 37, was arraigned Dec. 1 in front of Foley on charges of second-degree burglary, petit larceny, possession of burglary tools and two counts of second-degree harassment. The indictment was returned Nov. 24, with a conference scheduled for Jan. 6.
