CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SILVER CREEK — Michael A. Acosta-Padilla, 21, of Buffalo, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 11:46 p.m. Monday in the village of Silver Creek for a traffic violation. Marijuana along with a semi-automatic pistol, two magazines for that pistol, and several rounds of ammunition were located inside the vehicle. An investigation found that Acosta-Padilla was allegedly in possession of the firearm, ammunition and marijuana. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ WESTFIELD — Joel E. Rammelt, 58, of Westfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, uninspected motor vehicle and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday on Route 20 in the town of Westfield for multiple traffic violation. An investigation found that Rammelt was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Westfield Town Court later.
