JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Kevin M. Wright, 48, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs. Heather L. Diaz, 36, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 2″35 a.m. Thursday on West Sixth Street for a traffic violation. Wright, the driver, and Diaz, a passenger, were allegedly found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl. Both were transported to Jamestown City Jail while Wright was later found to be driving while ability impaired by drugs after being evaluated by a drug recognition expert. Diaz was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Jamestown. Both were being held in Jamestown City Jail for arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ GERRY — Nicholas Estus, 19, of Gerry, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Troopers responded Wednesday to a Gerry residence for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation found that Estus allegedly violated an order of protection and fled the scene. He was later located at a residence in Ellington and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Annette E. Porter, 48, of Jamestown, was charged with failure to keep right, crossing hazard markings and driving while intoxicated. Officers observed a vehicle fail to keep right and then cross over the hazard markings Saturday on East Terrace Avenue. Porter was later found to be intoxicated and was issued tickets to appear in Busti Town Court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Jena S. Blocker 33, no address listed, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the town of Ellicott. Blocker, a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly found in possession of narcotics. She was issued a ticket to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SILVER CREEK — Nathan Joyce, 35, of Hamburg, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Deputies responded at 6:18 a.m. Monday to the area of Buffalo Street in the village of Silver Creek for a reported suspicious situation. Deputies located a vehicle that was found to have been stolen out of Millcreek, Pa., and the occupant was identified as Joyce. He was taken to centralized arraignment.

¯ BROCTON — Benjamin L Reed, 35, of Brocton, was charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, second-degree harassment, failure to comply with lawful order of police officer and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies were called at 10:12 p.m. Friday to Peerless Street in Brocton for a reported altercation. Deputies learned that Reed allegedly injured another person and damaged multiple items inside the residence. The incident allegedly took place in front of multiple children. Reed reportedly fled the scene in a combine harvester. He was taken into custody after a warrant was issued and was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment and later released.
