RANDOLPH — A Randolph man is facing charges after choking a woman last week.

State Police in Jamestown report James Olson, 36, was charged with second-degree strangulation and second-degree harassment in regard to the domestic incident that took place Friday.

Troopers responded to a residence in Randolph for a report of a domestic incident. An investigation revealed that Olson, in an intoxicated condition, struck and choked the victim until she lost consciousness.

Olson had fled the scene but was located soon after at a nearby residence and was placed under arrest. Olson was processed in Jamestown, arraigned in the town of Conewango Court and released without bail after being served a stay-away order.
