NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ Rachel McCarthy, 23, of Panama, was charged with driving while intoxicated. McCarthy was stopped Sunday on Crescent Street in Jamestown for a traffic violation. She reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.08%. McCarthy is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ POMFRET — A 17-year-old female was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way. Deputies responded at 7 p.m. Friday to a crash at the intersection of Route 60 and Lakeview Road in the town of Pomfret. It was determined that the teen reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign, causing a crash with a vehicle being operated by a 51-year-old male. The male was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The female was issued a traffic citation.

¯ POMFRET — Joseph E. Myers, 24, of Fredonia, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, unregistered motor vehicle and no lighted headlamps. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 3:38 a.m. on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. The driver was identified as Myers, and an investigation found that he was intoxicated. Myers was released with tickets to appear in Pomfret Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Nicholas J. McAdoo, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Officers were called at 3:10 p.m. on Friday to Newland Avenue and Hazzard Street for a reported disorderly male. It was learned that McAdoo allegedly smashed the back glass window of an Alstar EMS ambulance then fled the area. He was found a short distance away hiding in a storage shed, and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later.
