Pair Charged After Fake Money, Drugs Found
Two Buffalo men were being held after counterfeit money and narcotics were discovered during a traffic stop.
Louis Thomas III, 23, and Jade Hooks, 22, were in a vehicle stopped at 6:57 p.m. Monday in the area of East Second and Winsor streets. During an investigation, officers discovered the counterfeit money as well as a “quantity of narcotics along with paraphernalia and packaging materials,” the Jamestown Police Department said in a news release.
The pair was transported to Jamestown City Jail.
Thomas is facing charges of third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, first- and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Hooks is facing charges of first- and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
