CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ MAYVILLE — Angel M. Rosas Jr., 22, of Fredonia, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Rosas, an inmate at the Chautauqua County Jail, was charged after he allegedly punched and damaged a jail kiosk Sept. 11. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the jail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Shaun Cook, 42, was taken into custody Monday at 2 p.m. Cook was reportedly wanted as a fugitive from justice for escape out of Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Officers were assisted by members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force. Cook was being held in Jamestown City Jail for arraignment.

¯ Stephen Cassidy, 44, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and obstructing governmental administration. Officers were in the area of Brooklyn Square at 8:05 p.m. Monday when they observed Cassidy, who had multiple outstanding warrants, walking through the parking lot. Cassidy led officers on a brief pursuit, which included jumping into the Chadakoin River. Officers later learned he had contact with a person who had a valid order of protection. Cassidy was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

CARROLL POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Kristopher W. Reed, no age or address listed, was charged with speed in excess of 55 mph, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Officers at 11:58 p.m. on Friday observed a vehicle southbound on Warren Road traveling at a high rate of speed. An investigation found that Reed was intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Carroll Town Court later.
