LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

A Jamestown man is facing a felony drug charge after police found him with more than 2 pounds of marijuana.

Justin J. Peck, 27, was issued an appearance ticket following a traffic stop at 11 p.m. Thursday in the town of Busti. Peck was a passenger in the vehicle stopped for speeding, and during a check, Lakewood-Busti police reportedly found him in possession of 2.3 pounds of marijuana.

The weight makes the charge — second-degree criminal possession of marijuana — a felony, police said Friday in a news release. The city man is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later to answer the charge.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ FALCONER — Peter Cambio, 33, of Hamburg, was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. Troopers received a complaint Thursday from a person in Falconer that reported receiving unwanted phone calls and threatening text messages dozens of times per day from an unknown person since December 2019. An investigation revealed the person making the calls and sending the text messages was Cambio. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SILVER CREEK — Sean M. Schwarz, 27, of Derby, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, false personation, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. Deputies located a vehicle at 2:30 a.m. Thursday while checking Tops Markets on Jackson Street in Silver Creek. The driver attempted to use a false name and date of birth, however, he could not spell the name he was attempting to use. Deputies also observed several pills in plain view. An investigation discovered Schwarz was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine and Xanax as well as no driver’s license and multiple suspensions. Schwarz was released with tickets to appear in Silver Creek Village Court at a later date.

¯ DUNKIRK — Willam Pagan, 65, of Dunkirk, was charged with petit larceny. Deputies were called at 5:16 p.m. Thursday to a business Vineyard Drive in the town of Dunkirk for a shoplifting complaint. It was reported that a man allegedly left the store without paying for a variety of items. The man was found walking on Main Street in Dunkirk. He was issued a ticket to appear in Dunkirk Town Court later.
