¯ RANDOLPH — Elena Ramirez, 47, of Van Wert, Ohio, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Ramirez was stopped Friday for a traffic violation on Main Street in Randolph. Ramirez was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.11%. Ramirez is scheduled to appear in Randolph Town Court later.
¯ GERRY — Brian Watson, 61, of Gerry, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded Thursday to Gerry-Ellington Road for a report of a crash. An investigation found that a vehicle entered a ditch, and Watson was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. He later provided a breath sample of 0.23% and is scheduled to appear in Gerry Town Court later.
¯ SOUTH VALLEY — Steven Obe, 72, of Amherst, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded Wednesday to West Perimeter in South Valley for a reported crash. Obe was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. He later provided a breath sample 0.10% and is scheduled to appear in South Valley Town Court later. Obe was not injured in the crash.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ SHERMAN — Michael J. Bartok, 46, of Mayville, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, speed in zone and failure to keep right. Deputies observed a traffic violation at 3:12 a.m. on Friday on Route 430 in the town of Sherman. The driver was identified as Bartok, and an investigation found that a passenger was a protected party of a valid order of protection. Bartok was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
