CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ FREWSBURG — Shaye A. Johnson, 48, no address listed, was charged with driving while intoxicated and DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater. Deputies were called at 9:24 p.m. on Sunday to a report of an erratic vehicle in Frewsburg. The vehicle was located on Institute Street, and the driver was identified as Johnson. An investigation found that Johnson was allegedly intoxicated. She is scheduled to appear in Carroll Town Court later.

¯ VILLENOVA — Joshua Press, 28, of South Dayton, was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny. Deputies received a complaint of a burglary that took place on Oaks Road in the town of Villenova. A search warrant was executed July 16 at a location in South Dayton in Cattaraugus County. A large quantity of property, which had been stolen from a building on Oaks Road in the town of Villenova, was recovered as a result of the search warrant. It was also learned that Press was allegedly responsible for the burglary. He was issued an appearance ticket.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Jose L. Mendoza, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers were called at 8:37 p.m. on Monday to 831 N. Main St. for a reported domestic dispute. It was learned that Mendoza allegedly damaged property within an apartment. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

¯ Dylan M. Abbey, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police and members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force responded at 8 a.m. on Tuesday to Euclid Avenue to assist parole with locating Abbey, who had an absconder warrant. Abbey was located inside an apartment and taken into custody. Inside the apartment, police located a quantity of heroin and Alprazolam pills. Abbey was being held for arraignment.
