The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death of a Russell woman.

According to a state police release, Susan G. Haney, 72, of Russell was found dead Sunday morning in Pine Grove Township.

Warren County Coroner Melissa Zydonik said the circumstances are suspicious and that there is an investigation into Haney’s death.

Pennsylvania State Police Warren Barracks Sgt. Ryan Nuhfer said there is an autopsy scheduled.

“Once we get the information for that, we will know more,” Nuhfer said. “We are still interviewing people and looking at the evidence. A lot of questions will be answered after we have the autopsy results.”

The investigation is being handled out of the Corry barracks.
