JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Daniel J. Haney, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Officers were called Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to 19 Briggs St. to assist firefighters with a dumpster fire. Two youths were found with Haney. An investigation found that Haney allegedly lit a bag of garbage on fire within the dumpster. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and later released with tickes to appear later in court.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
¯ GERRY — Casey Saeger, 32, of Gerry, was charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Troopers received a complaint of a domestic incident Monday. An investigation found that while driving home from a party, Saeger allegedly moved to the backseat and choked the victim, preventing her from breathing. Saeger then reportedly returned to the front seat and head-butted the victim in the face, causing injury to her eye. Saeger was processed and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
¯ CONEWANGO VALLEY — Michael Hitchcock, 58, of Kennedy, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Hitchcock was stopped Tuesday on Cowen Corners Road in Conewango Valley for a traffic violation. He was taken into custody after he allegedly failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.12%. Hitchcock is scheduled to appear in Conewango Valley Court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Aubreigh J. Howard, 21, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Howard was found to have allegedly placed items in a grocery bag Tuesday at the Lakewood Walmart. Howard is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.
