NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ FALCONER — Christian Powell, 24, of Falconer, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt. Troopers responded Monday to a Falconer residence for a report of vandalism to a home. An investigation found that Powell broke a mirror, a door frame and damaged drywall. He also allegedly called and texted the victim hundreds of times during a two-day period. Powell was issued tickets to appear in Poland Town Court next month.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ MAYVILLE — Jayke C. Erhard, 27, of Mayville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and unregistered motor vehicle. Deputies observed a golf cart operating July 4 on Route 394 and Whallon Street in Mayville. The operator was identified as Erhard, who was found to be intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in Chautauqua Town Court later.

¯ HANOVER — Giorgio S. Williams, 27, of Buffalo, was charged with driving while ability impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol, aggravated driving while ability impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol with a child in the vehicle, moving from lane unsafely, no/inadequate turn signal and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Deputies stopped a vehicle July 5 on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover for a traffic violation. Williams was allegedly found to be impaired by a combination of drugs and alcohol. Two passengers in the vehicle were found to be 10 and 12 years old. Williams is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court later.

¯ VILLENOVA — A 19-year-old female, of Cherry Creek, was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Deputies responded Thursday at 6:52 p.m. to an address on Route 83 in the town of Villenova for a report of an altercation. An investigation found that the teenager had unlawfully entered a residence and damaged property. She was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralzied arraignment.

¯ MAYVILLE — Lester J. Yoder, 24, of Panama, was charged with operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated per se. Deputies received a call July 4 around 5:49 p.m. that several people were trying to climb onto the fireworks display from a boat in Mayville. The navigation patrol arrived on scene and located the boat, found to be operated by Yoder, and who was determined to be intoxicated. Yoder was released with tickets to appear in court later.
