JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Penny L. Nelson, 60, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded Sunday at 6:26 p.m. to Linwood Avenue for a reported harassment complaint. An investigation determined Nelson violated an active stay away order of protection during an argument. Nelson was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Joseph J. Thayer, 43, and Justin T. Yuchnitz, 26, of Jamestown, were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and New York State Police K-9 Unit stopped a vehicle Monday at 12:17 p.m. on South Main Street being operated by Thayer. Inside, police found packages containing a small amount of heroin/fentanyl and cocaine/fentanyl belonging to Yuchnitz. Also located were pills that Thayer did not have a prescription for. Both were processed and released with tickets to appear in Jamestown City Court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Karlilis Roldan-Corcino, 39, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Roldan-Corcino was allegedly caught shoplifting at the Lakewood Walmart on Friday. She was released with a ticket to appear in Busti Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ MAYVILLE — Carl A. Davidson, 52, of Mayville, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded Sunday at 5 a.m. for a harassment complaint. Following an investigation, a warrant through Chautauqua Town Court was issued for Davidson. He was located later in the day and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

¯ PANAMA — Nicholas C. Shields, 29, of Panama, was charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree harassment. Deputies were made aware of an altercation that took place Saturday in Panama. Shields was taken into custody following an investigation. He was brought to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ STOCKTON — Gerald R. Haley, 55, of Sinclairville, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree harassment and driving while intoxicated. Deputies were called Friday to the town of Stockton for a reported fight. An investigation determined that Haley struck another person multiple times, applied presssure to another person’s throat and locked another in a residence. Haley was taken to Chautauqua County Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ WESTFIELD — Matthew C. Chelton, 47, of Westfield, was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. Deputies and the Westfield Police Department responded Friday on West Main Road in the town of Westfield for a report of an unwanted person. An investigation found that Chelton allegedly made threats of harm to another person. He was located and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ WESTFIELD — Michael S. Smith, 24, of Ripley, was charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Deputies responded Saturday at 5:47 p.m. to Pigeon Road in the town of Westfield for a larceny complaint. An investigation found that Smith unlawfully entered a residence and stole property. Smith was also found to have possessed a controlled substance. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
