JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Robert L. Wofford, 64, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and third-degree assault. Officers responded Sunday at 6 p.m. to Lafayette Street for a reported domestic incident. Officers were informed by a victim that Wofford had allegedly stolen her purse and a short time later struck her in the face. Wofford was located a short time later and taken into custody. He was held pending arraignment.

¯ Miguel Ramos-Flores, 44, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family. Officers responded Sunday at 8 p.m. to a Spring Street home for a reported domestic incident. Officers spoke to a woman who said that Ramos-Flores allegedly called her by phone, violating an order of protection by the Jamestown City Court. Ramos-Flores was taken into custody without incident and held for arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ KENNEDY — Roseanne Nelson, 39, of Falconer, was charged with second-degree burglary. Troopers received a past-tense burglary complaint at a residence in Kennedy where electronics and personal items were reported stolen. Nelson was processed and issued a ticket to appear in Poland Town Court later.

¯ Christopher Nielsen, 43, of Wattsburg, Pa., was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Troopers stopped a vehicle Sunday on Route 394 in the town of Ellicott for a passenger seat belt violation. An investigation found that Nielsen was violating an order of protection. Nielsen was issued a ticket to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ SHERIDAN — Emily Gonzalez, 22, of Cassadaga, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Gonzalez was stopped Sunday on Route 20 in the town of Sheridan for a traffic violation. She was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests and is scheduled to appear in Sheridan Town Court later.

CARROLL POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Tiffany M. Walsh, 29, no address listed, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle Friday at 8:32 p.m. on Dodge Road in Frewsburg for a traffic violation. An investigation determined that Walsh was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine. She was released with tickets to appear in Carroll Town Court later. The New York State Police assisted officers.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Homer C. Whitton, 61, of Ashville, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment. Officers were called Saturday at 8:15 p.m. to Circle Drive in Ashville for a report of a physical domestic. Officers reported seeing Whitton with some clothing around another person’s mouth and head, pulling it tight as he was screaming at her. Whitton was taken into custody, and it was later learned that he shoved the victim through the door prior to police arriving. Whitton was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
