NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ FALCONER — Kyle Lewis, 28, of Falconer was charged with third-degree assault and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Troopers responded Sunday to a residence in Falconer for a report of an assault victim. An investigation found that Lewis struck another person in the face during an argument. While being searched, Lewis was allegedly found to have three bags of methamphetamine in his wallet. He was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail. The victim was taken to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment of minor injuries.

¯ GERRY — Brennen Rivera, 23, of Fredonia was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Troopers stopped a vehicle Friday on Route 60 because the heat shield was dragging on the ground. An investigation found that there was an oder of protection for Rivera to stay away from the driver. Rivera was processed and issued a ticket to appear in Gerry Town Court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Ethan L. Haskins, 25, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree aggravated harassment and obstruction of breathing. Police were called to a residence in Falconer on Friday for a report of a ohysical domestic incident. Officers arrived to find a woman with multiple injuries to the head and face due to an altercation with Haskins. The victim was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment. Haskins was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ SHERIDAN — Mark A. Kozlowski, 42, of Cheektowaga was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. Deputies responded Sunday to a report of a harassment. An investigation found that Kozlowski threatened another person. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Sheridan Town Court later.
