¯ William R. Tilyou, 30, of Jamestown, was charged Monday at 8:42 p.m. with second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, officers responded to a Charles Street residence to assist New York State Parole Officers. Upon arrival, city officers learned that Tilyou allegedly was in the company of a person where there was a valid or of protection for Tilyou to stay away from. Tilyou was taken into custody without incident and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He also was charged with a parole violation. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
¯ Ryan D. Robertson, 48, of Jamestown, was charged Tuesday at 10:14 a.m. with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, and a city court bench warrant for failing to appear. According to police, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Eighth and Monroe streets on a vehicle improperly towing another vehicle after the operator allegedly failed to stop at a steady red signal. Upon further investigation, the operator of the vehicle being towed, Robertson, allegedly fled the scene on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Robertson was taken into custody on Brewers Alley without further incident. He was taken to city court. The operator of the towing vehicle was issued traffic tickets and released from the scene.
