CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ WESTFIELD — Ryan Baker, 19, of Westfield was charged with third-degree assault. Deputies responded Wednesday at 4:27 p.m. to Jones Road in the town of Westfield for a report of an assault. An investigation found that Baker allegedly injured another person. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Deputies were assisted by the New York State Police.

¯ MAYVILLE — Jesse L. Kresek, 31, of Mayville was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, disorderly conduct, unsafe starting, inadequate muffler and uninspected motor vehicle. Deputies stopped a vehicle Sunday at 2:06 a.m. in the village of Mayville for multiple traffic violations. An investigation found that Kresek was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Kresek was released with tickets to appear in Chautauqua Town Court later.

¯ PORTLAND — Quenin J. Lawton, 25, of Stockton was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree aggravated harassment and resisting arrest. Deputies responded to a Portland address Thursday at 8:04 p.m. for a report aggravated harassment complaint. An investigation determined there was a valid order of protection for Lawton to refrain from contact with the victim. Lawton was found at a residence in Stockton. He reportedly resisted arrest and was later transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Michael B. Kleckner, 35, of Silver Creek was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. Deputies responded to reported domestic disturbance Sunday at 1 p.m. at a residence on Angell Road in the village of Silver Creek. It was learned that Kleckner allegedly damaged multiple items inside the residence and grabbed another person by their hair and pulled. Kleckner also reportedly stopped one of the victims from leaving and had a valid order of protection from one of the victims. The incidents took place in front of a minor child in the residence. Kleckner was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ CONEWANGO VALLEY — Henry Hershberger, 19, of Conewango Valley was charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and two counts of reckless driving. Troopers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed Sunday on Route 62 in Conewango Valley. Hershberger reportedly failed to comply and accelerated to over 100 mph and continued onto Seager Hill Road for about 3 more miles before coming to a stop. He was taken into custody, issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Ellington and Conewango town court later.

¯ GERRY — James Bostaph, 63, of Gerry was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. Troopers responded Saturday to a residence in Gerry for a report of a child that had been shot with a BB gun. An investigation found that an 11-year-old was attempting to retrieve his dog that had gone onto Bostaph’s property when Bostaph shot the victim. Bostaph was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ STEAMBURG — Andrew Bonnell of Russell, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Bonnell was stopped Friday for speeding on West Perimeter Road in Steamburg and was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests. He later provided a breath sample of 0.13% and was issued tickets to appear in South Valley Town Court later.
