JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Steven F. Sanay, 26, of Jamestown was charged with no turn signal and driving while intoxicated. Marie J. Dobbins, 33, of Jamestown was charged with unnecessary noise and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers stopped a vehicle Monday at 2:08 a.m. on Sampson Street for not using its turn signal. An investigation found that Sanay was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Dobbins, a passenger in the vehicle, reportedly shouted and refused to get back in the vehicle as officers were investigating. Both were transported to Jamestown City Jail and released with appearance tickets.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ RIPLEY — Shery L. Mele, 45, of Westfield was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and speed over state limit 55 mph. Deputies stopped a vehicle Friday at 4:46 p.m. for a speeding violation on Route 5 in the town of Ripley. An investigation found that Mele was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was released with tickets to appear in Ripley Town Court later.

¯ POLAND — James L. Rosengren, 51, of Poland was charged with driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies were called Feb. 9 at 9:32 p.m. to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Page Road in the town of Poland. An investigation found that Rosengren was operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated state. He is scheduled to appear in Poland Town Court later to answer the charges.

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — David R. Ralph, 30, of Mayville was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, DWI with a BAC of 0.08% or greater, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and no/improper turn signal. Will D. Lutgen, 55, of Mayville was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Jennifer R. McConell, 50, of Mayville was charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday at 3:21 a.m. on Centralia Hartfield Road in the town of Chautauqua for failing to signal a turn. Ralph was determined to be intoxicated and in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine. A check of Ralph’s driving history showed he had a previous DWI conviction in the past 10 years. Lutgen, a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine, and McConnell, another passenger, was found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. All three were released with tickets to appear in Chautauqua Town Court later.

¯ NORTH HARMONY — Evan J. Blakeslee, 20, of Ashville was charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, speed in zone and speed in excess of 55 mph. Deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday at 3:31 a.m. in the town of North Harmony. Blakeslee was reportedly found in possession of multiple controlled substances. He was released with tickets to appear in North Harmony Town Court later.

¯ FREDONIA — Aron L. Sikes, 26, of Fredonia was taken into custody following a warrant check Monday at 10:15 a.m. Deputies assisted the Fredonia Police Department conduct the check at a Brigham Road residence. Sikes was wanted on a charge of third-degree robbery and was taken to Chautauqua County Jail.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ Jacquilyn Linger, 23, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded Sunday to Route 60 near Jamestown for a report of a vehicle “all over the road.” Linger was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. She later provided a breath sample of 0.13% and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ STOW — Melissa Pillsbury, 58, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated. Pillsbury was stopped Sunday on Route 394 in Stow and was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests. Pillsbury was processed and released to appear in North Harmony Town Court later.

¯ FALCONER — Dalton Hawkins, 26, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Hawkins was stopped Friday on Peck Settlement Road in the village of Falconer for traffic violations. A search of Hawkins’ vehicle turned up more than 5 ounces of marijuana. He was issued appearance tickets to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
