NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ KENNEDY — Joshua Ross, 31, of Kennedy was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespassing, overdriving/torturing/injuring animals and resisting arrest. Troopers responded to a Kennedy residence for a domestic incident. An investigation found that Ross arrived at the residence without invitation and walked into the victim’s home. Ross refused to leave when instructed to by the victim and during their argument, allegedly kicked her Chihuahua. When the victim attempted to call 911 for assistance, Ross reportedly knocked the phone from the victim’s hand and across the room. He was processed and taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ PORTLAND — Kyle T. Cambria, 21, of Portland, and Tyler T. Dalton, 20, of Falconer, were each charged with third-degree criminal mischief. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a criminal mischief complaint in the town of Portland. It is alleged that Dalton and Cambria caused damage in excess of $1,000.00 to property at a local business. Both are scheduled to appear in Portland Town Court later.

¯ POMFRET — Edwin L. Hamlet, 42, of Sheridan was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and no seatbelt. Deputies stopped a vehicle Tuesday at 3:49 a.m. in the town of Pomfret for an alleged traffic violation. It was found that Hamlet was allegedly operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated state. He is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court.
