CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
¯ POLAND — Jeffrey L. Shriver, 40, of Lakewood was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and speed in zone. Deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday at 12:38 a.m. on Route 394 in the town of Poland. An investigation found that Shriver was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of methamphetamine. He is scheduled to appear in Poland Town Court later.
¯ POMFRET — Chase R. Jones, 23, of Bemus Point was charged aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.18% or higher, driving while intoxicated and speed over 55 zone. Deputies stopped a vehicle Friday at 12:19 a.m. on Upper Spoden Road in the town of Pomfret for a traffic violation. Jones was reportedly observed to be driving in an intoxicated state. He was processed and released to appear in Pomfret Town Court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Nicholas I. Sandy, 24, of Ashville was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, failure to keep right and loud exhaust. Officers observed a vehicle cross the center line with a loud exhaust Saturday at 1:40 a.m. on East Fairmount Avenue. Sandy was allegedly found to be intoxicated following an investigation. He is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.
¯ Andrew S. Vanguilder, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded Sunday at 9:30 p.m. to Walmart for a criminal mischief complaint. It was learned that Vanguilder allegedly drank from two bottles of milk then replaced them in a cooler. He is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ John P. Matteson Jr., 34, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing. Officers responded Saturday at 9:06 p.m. to Lakeview Avenue for a report of a suspicious person. It was later learned that Matteson had allegedly threatened a female in her vehicle with a metal pipe. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.
¯ Carley K. Samuelson, 30, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of no/improper signal, no/insufficient tail lamps, uninspected motor vehicle, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and driving while ability impaired by drugs. Officers stopped a vehicle Saturday at 11:10 p.m. in Brooklyn Square and learned Samuelson was allegedly impaired by use of drugs. She was also reportedly found to be driving with a suspended license. Samuelson was being held for arraignment.
¯ Ryan S. Sandberg, 25, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Officers responded Sunday at 12:30 p.m. to a residence on Tower Street for a possible order of protection violation. It was later learned that Sandberg was inside the home of a person he was supposed to stay away from. He was being held for arraignment.
