LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Devin S. Smith, no age or address given, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. Officers responded at 3:30 p.m. on Friday to a criminal mischief complaint at Walmart on East Fairmount Avenue. It was learned that Smith was damaging property belonging to Walmart. Smith was also reportedly found to be in possession of three hypodermic needles. He is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Mckyla Scott, 19, of Jamestown was issued a traffic ticket for improper/no turn signal. Jonathan Diaz Lugo, 25, of Jamestown was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Sarah Karas, 25, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 7:10 p.m. on Friday on Camp and Elm streets for a traffic violation. An investigation found that Lugo, a passenger, was allegedly in possession of marijuana. Karas was found with methamphetamine.
